The 100th Year Tunnels we built for Şahinbey Municipality opened to traffic on 16 March 2024. The twin tube tunnel passes beneath the dense urban fabric of central Gaziantep, linking Şehirüstü Junction with Yeşilvadi Boulevard.

What changed for the city
- The Şehirüstü Junction–Yeşilvadi Boulevard journey fell from 25 minutes to one
- 13,500 vehicles a day, 5 million a year
- An estimated 300 million TL saved in fuel each year
It would normally have taken at least two years. We worked day and night to shorten that and put it into service as soon as possible.

The tunnel was put into service without waiting for an official ceremony, to avoid traffic congestion during Ramadan.
