Shoring systems are temporary or permanent support structures that keep the excavation face and neighbouring buildings safe during deep excavation. Retaining walls absorb level differences along the route and keep the road platform stable.

The system is selected according to ground class, groundwater level, excavation depth and the distance to neighbouring structures. During construction, horizontal displacement and anchor loads are tracked by instrumentation.
